Cream Biscuits

The other night, Addison asked for eggs, biscuits, and gravy for supper. Coming from a child who NEVER eats, much less makes requests, I figured I better make it for her! I thought I would share my quick biscuit recipe. There is nothing much better than good ol' biscuits and gravy. Plus, it's fast, easy, and uses only a few ingredients.

INGREDIENTS:
2 C. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1-1/2 C. heavy cream

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees. Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl. Stir in the cream with a wooden spoon until the dough forms. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured counter and gather it into a ball. Briefly knead the dough until smooth, about 30 seconds. (The less you mess with the dough, the better the biscuits are!)
Pat the dough into a 3/4-inch-thick circle. Cut the biscuits with a 2-1/2-inch biscuit cutter.
Place them on your parchment lined cookie sheet and bake about 15-minutes!

Quick, easy, and satisfying! And don't forget the butter! :)
